HOW COIN APPOINTMENTS WORK IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA
Selling a collection is easier when you know what to expect. Westmoreland Rare Coins is an appointment-only dealer serving Delmont, Monroeville, and North Wales, PA. A scheduled visit gives you time to bring the coins as you found them, ask questions, and discuss practical next steps without a rushed counter visit.
Before you request a time, gather the collection, albums, boxes, certificates, receipts, and any family notes you have. Keep coins in their existing holders and do not clean, polish, or separate items unnecessarily. If the group is large, tell us what types of coins are included and whether you need help with transportation or organization.
At an appointment, we look at dates, mint marks, condition, authenticity, precious-metal content, and collector demand. We explain what can be evaluated directly and which pieces may need additional research or professional grading. An appointment is a conversation, not a promise of a particular grade or price. You can ask questions before deciding whether to sell.
In-home visits may be appropriate for substantial collections, estates, or situations where transporting coins is impractical. Availability and service details depend on the collection and location, so contact us first. Our regular service locations are Delmont, Monroeville, and North Wales, Pennsylvania.
